ANNOTATION Dissertation on defending a Scientific Degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences in specialty 14.03.03 - Normal Physiology. - SI "Institute of Gerontology by D.F. Chebotarev NAMS of Ukraine ", Kiev, 2014. Anthropometric characteristics and functional parameters of respiration, physical working ability and mental capacity, psychomotor activity, sensory abilities, as well as the ratio of functional aging were researched among the elderly persons. Retrospective professional activities were analyzed in the surveyed seniors. Results of the research were used to justify, develop, and offer a method of quantifying the residual working ability amount of an elderly people.
